The synergy works perfectly, and we are here to enjoy it”- an interview with Gábor Papp at Estorio

Estorio opened nine months ago, when you look back on the days after the opening what feelings, colors and images come to your mind?

Estorio – as a showroom and a concept – is new in Hungary. Preparations took a year and the opening fortunately coincided with the end of the pandemic and the completion of the Opera House’s multi-year renovation. Our foreign partners joined us in Estorio and we could not help but feel the effect of the changing world and the war. There, at that moment, we knew that only by relying on each other could we provide our customers the best service possible.

Estorio is not only a showroom, but also a meeting place. Tell us about an important meeting that youve had in 2022.

Immediately after opening, our first client was an interior designer couple from Szombathely, since then our dear friends, who we met through a random phone call on an early Friday evening. They were on their way to Estorio from Kelenföld railway station, and I turned at the exit of the highway to meet them. It was such a great meeting!

Christmas and the end of the year is also a time for reflection and reckoning. How do you see which of your initial ideas have come to life, and is there anything that has turned out even better than you had imagined? 

The combination of brands is very inspiring in Estorio. The synergies work well, Eszter Radnóczy saw this very clearly before we opened. All things are connected and harmonize with each other, and it is this harmonious combination of like-minded partners that creates Estorio’s portfolio. Designers can always count on the professional collaboration of manufacturers of wardrobes, kitchens, living rooms and lighting to blend extraordinary materials and colors.

If you could ask for one thing that would be definitely guaranteed in 2023 for Estorio, what would it be?

Estorio is a fresh brand based on the decades of professional experience of its founder and her dynamic team. We are excited to embark on this mission and we would like to spread this enthusiasm to as many partners and customers as possible. I have already planned an Estorio party for the end of 2023 to thank our loyal customers for their support.
